About Kohmann Motors

Kohmann Motors was established in January 2015 by the father and son team of John and Jim Kohmann combining their 83 years of experience in the automobile business with their established mower/power equipment business of 15 years. Kohmann Minerva Mowers was started in 2000, by John & Jim, in conjunction with their "new" car dealership in Minerva known as Kohmann Ford, Inc. In 2005 the Kohmann's sold their Ford franchise but kept Kohmann Minerva Mowers; located at 107 E. High St. John managed the mower shop while Jim stayed at the Ford dealership for an additional 8 years as the General Manager and for the past 2 years has managed another Ford dealership. In January 2015 John and Jim decided it was time to reunite and open a Used Car Dealership along with the mower business. Kohmann Motors is a truly family owned and operated business as John and Jim are involved in the daily operations. In their years of experience, the Kohmann's not only know but practice the importance of taking care of their customers! "We know that Customer Service is first! Knowing your customer personally, having what they need, when they need it, and being there after the sale to assist them with whatever they need." That's what we strive for with a friendly and knowledgeable staff that you don't get in larger, box-type stores or at mega-dealerships. In March of 2023, Jim partnered with Matt Leeders of Daystar Auto Group and formed Daystar Powersports & Equipment. Both business are run at the same location and specializes in quality used vehicles, new equipment from higher end manufacturers including Stihl, Cub Cadet®, Massimo and Ferris.
